Affording Sea Crest

The Flexible Tuition Program makes a Sea Crest Education accessible to families from a wide range of economic backgrounds.

We believe that the cost of a Sea Crest education should not be a deterrent to any family and that having students from all walks of life enriches our community and the educational experience. Tuition for the 2019-2020 school year is:

  • $21,505 (K-8)
  • $16,000 (JK – school day)
  • $9,600 (JK – morning only)

We offer a Flexible Tuition Program that allows qualifying families to pay according to their resources, ranging from $2,000 to $21,505. 1 in 4 of our students receives a Flexible Tuition grant. Sea Crest allocates 14% of our budget to making Sea Crest affordable for students from varying backgrounds. Most of these grants are allocated for those families who apply during the initial application round that closes in January. Please inquire about flexible tuition if you are applying during rolling admission.

A note about tuition

In living up to the vision of its founding families, Sea Crest School is committed to doing everything within its means to make the Sea Crest experience affordable and accessible. Tuition costs are determined by our Board of Trustees, who take into account the rising cost of educating a child, the economic diversity of student population, and the operational costs—such as competitive faculty compensation—of running a school.

Tuition is set lower than the actual cost of a Sea Crest education. Therefore, we also rely on charitable giving to help cover the gap through tax-deductible contributions. We ask that every family contribute at a level appropriate to its means.

FACTS tuition management

All families are asked to pay tuition using FACTS, our tuition management company. Returning families are automatically re-enrolled in the FACTS program. NEW families should set up a payment plan with FACTS online.

We offer three payment schedule options:

  1. annual payment paid in one installment, due June 1
  2. bi-annual payments to be paid in two installments, due June 1 and December 1
  3. ten monthly payments, due the first of each month from June through March

There is a service fee for families choosing either the bi-annual or monthly payment plans; both include enrollment in the Dewars Tuition Refund Insurance. More information about payment plans and tuition refund insurance will be included with your enrollment contract.
